A new part of living in the age of the internet is that it is very easy to track demographics and what people are interested in. Search trends connect people across our nation to show what is becoming popular or sought out.
We have recently hit a peak for homebuyer related search terms in the last two years, the terms being "home for sale" or "homes for sale".
On this graph, "100" shows most interest, and it scales down from there. As you can see, after a downward trend starting in or before August 2023, at the beginning of this year things started to trend upwards. Eventually exceeding interest from two years ago during the month of July.
This indicates interest in the market, and possibly in investing in the market. Due to economic factors, it is unlikely we will experience the surge seen during the pandemic, but ther eis stability in the last year that is comforting enough for buyers to decide they should start making a move.
